Metrorail

SDM provided full MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) design services for the Miami Metrorail system, supporting critical upgrades to improve safety, reliability, and rider experience. The work included designing efficient HVAC systems for stations and control rooms, modern electrical infrastructure to power transit operations, and durable plumbing and fire protection systems suited for high-traffic public spaces. Each system was carefully engineered to meet the demands of 24/7 transit service while aligning with long-term maintenance and sustainability goals.
